The Opus story begins in the offices of its parent company, Purple Line, a leading manufacturer of caravan accessories such as caravan movers and leveling aids. Director Jonathan and Product Design Manager Stuart were discussing the fact that the potential audience for their wonderful designs is less than 1% of the population.

Surely, they thought, there are plenty more people out there who love travel and who want the freedom to just pack up and go, but just don’t want a caravan? Let’s be honest, caravan aren’t exactly “cool”; they hardly fire the imagination and inspire dreams of adventure (more likely images of chintzy curtains and scary towing experiences). What’s more, they are big beasts to store all year round.

The OPUS Off-Road features an upgraded, all-terrain chassis with off-road-ready tires and independent coil suspension, perfectly suited to follow you wherever you want to go.

It has two double beds and a convertible lounge to sleep up to six. And the new external slide-out kitchen and fridge make setting up camp so easy and quick that you’ll wonder why you’re not camping every weekend.

Instead of messing with pesky tent poles, just flip a switch and watch the OPUS inflate in ninety seconds. From the moment you drive up to camp, the process takes just five minutes, and when you leave, a quick-release valve lets out the air and the camper folds down in about the same time.

The easiest way to carry more gear, the OPUS Off-Road comes with the option to add the large roof-mounted cargo rack. What makes this option even more convenient is the hydraulic-assist side hinge which means the cargo carrier remains installed even when your OPUS is in full set-up mode.
